Is it possible to write the Master Electrician's Exam without having your Journeyman's License (C OF Q)?

I only know about Alberta. You must be a journeyman for a minimum of three years before you can write the master exam.

I was pushing for straight answers on this when I was attending 4th (final) year school this winter. I wanted to sign up for the course & write the exam ASAP.

The only answer I could get (this is for BC) was that you had to be journeyman for one year, and take the course, before you could write the contractor's license exam.
